18- 24 November
Retreat Leader: Rhonwen Sayer
This retreat is open only to those who have received the initiation of the 32-deity Guhyasamaja practice. You will be asked to confirm this on your booking form. It would be helpful if you have also received teachings about the practice.
It is suitable for beginners to the practice, but equally for those who are already familiar with it, as an opportunity to come together with fellow-practitioners, to share practice and deepen our understanding of this powerful and complex practice.
The retreat will include recitations of the sadhana, using the version prepared by the Guhyasamaja Practice Group at Jamyang London (please bring a copy of this with you – it is available for download from Guhyasamaja.com). There will also be opportunities for learning, meditation and discussion each day.
Rhonwen Sayer is the coordinator of the Jamyang London practice group and has organised many retreats at the London centre, as well as the first one at Land of Joy last year. She has studied the root texts and commentaries, and is most enthusiastic in sharing her knowledge with others. She combines practice of the tantra with academic study of the tradition – she is an FPMT registered teacher and long-term student of Geshe Tashi Tsering as well as holding a Masters degree in Buddhist Studies from SOAS, University of London.
